We all have our ups and downs in our own life. Should we let that make us feeling down? NO. We shouldn’t. We should do something about it. You might be down because of your personal emotions, feelings and problems. You might be feeling down because of something went wrong in your career goals or business. Let it go whatever it is or how bigger the issue is. I agree that you need to face the issue and solve that, but you don’t need to look like the saddest person. Have a belief in you that you will get over that. Let me share some tips which I do to instantly lift my mood. This might help you too
Avoid dark places
Light places a major role in our mood swing. Keep the place as bright as possible by letting sunlight in or by turning your lights on.
Try to avoid being in dark places when you are feeling down. Open the windows and doors to let the light and the fresh air come inside
Go for a walk
Get out from that closed space and go for a walk outside. Parks are much preferred. Walk slowly and notice your breath. This will help to keep your mind in control and letting go of some random thoughts running in your mind.
Looking at the children playing around and breathing fresh air in the park is an instant mood lifter for me. You don’t need to look after a park. Just a relaxed walk by noticing your breath is enough to keep you feel good
Do your favourite things
Start doing your favourite things which will make you feel happy. Sometimes doing little things leads to a big change. Some of my favourites are:
Taking a shower with a favourite scented body wash can do the trick.
Enjoying a favourite and delicious meal. Food is a great way to uplift your mood
Setting the fan speed to maximum, hiding under blankets and take a nap.
Calling friends or family members to hang out with them
Force your smile. It looks good on you and also it helps you to feel good
